Born in Bremerton March 17, 1955, Don passed away Feb. 13 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Puyallup. He was 68 years old.
Don attended school on the Key Peninsula. After graduation from Peninsula High School, he attended Arizona Automotive Institute and became one of the top 10 transmission rebuilders in the Pacific Northwest.
He moved to Aberdeen in 1985 where he opened his first transmission repair shop. Two years later Don opened his second shop, both named Transmissions Unlimited. Don built and was crew pit supervisor for Spring Cars in Grays Harbor.
Don had a good sense of humor and joked around constantly. He enjoyed old Western movies, loved John Wayne and Western books by Louis Lamour. His favorite movie was “Fantasia.”
Don leaves behind his sisters Janice, Linda and Donna; children Jeremy, Beau and Janell; grandson Rory; stepdaughters Krista and Paula; and many nieces and nephews.
