Sasha the Tutor

Just wanted to thank Lisa Bryan for the terrific article on the Communities in Schools reading program. (“Tutors with Tails Help Young Readers at Vaughn Elementary,” KP News January). She did an excellent job describing the program and its benefits, as well as capturing the spirit of the kids and volunteers involved. I was honored to be included along with my dog Sasha, who thrives on spending time with the kids every week. It’s clearly the highlight of her week.  Jill Peters, Fox Island
