Call for volunteer drivers

Catholic Community Services needs more drivers to provide Meals on Wheels for the Gig Harbor and Key Peninsulas. Volunteers deliver frozen meals once a week to help people remain in their homes. Meals are picked up at the Peninsula Lutheran Church in Gig Harbor for delivery every Tuesday. It takes about four hours. To become a volunteer, fill out an  application and background check, verify driver’s license and insurance, get a food handler’s card (online; cost is reimbursed) and go through orientation at Catholic Community Services in Lakewood.
