Harbor Christian Center, Communities In Schools of Peninsula and other organizations have come together to support the efforts of service providers in the Key Peninsula and Gig Harbor areas by creating a Volunteer Hub to serve as a central location for volunteers to register. These volunteer lists will be sent to agencies and nonprofits in need of assistance. Each agency will contact you directly with details on what is needed. VOLUNTEER SHOPPERS AND DELIVERY DRIVERS NEEDED Key Center Food Market seeks volunteers to (1) take orders from customers and do their shopping and (2) deliver paid orders to customers, following all safety precautions. Enlist through the Volunteer Hub above for organization KPW.


MEALS ON WHEELS Call for volunteer drivers Catholic Community Services needs more drivers to provide Meals on Wheels for the Gig Harbor and Key Peninsulas. Volunteers deliver frozen meals once a week to help people remain in their homes. Meals are picked up at the Peninsula Lutheran Church in Gig Harbor for delivery every Tuesday. It takes about four hours. To become a volunteer, fill out an  application and background check, verify driver’s license and insurance, get a food handler’s card (online; cost is reimbursed) and go through orientation at Catholic Community Services in Lakewood. THE MUSTARD SEED PROJECT Looking for a way to help Key Peninsula seniors during this difficult time? The Mustard Seed Project is currently seeking volunteer drivers to deliver fresh meals, groceries, and supplies. To sign up to be a volunteer driver, click here.
