Life in the intertidal zone can be harsh. Discover adaptations that make survival possible while determining ways for a “new” species (designed by students) to be successful.
Tides, weather, competition, predation, disturbance and succession all play a role in survival. This program is open to elementary, middle, and high school students. Participants are encouraged to bring their own chairs or blankets to sit on.
In the event of inclement weather (excessive heat, smoke, rain, etc.) the event will be cancelled. The event will be outdoors. Participants should prepare for being in the sun or the current weather.
