Gig Harbor/Peninsula FISH Food Bank administers both rental, utility, prescription and other assistance to Key Peninsula and Gig Harbor residents. Food bank open Monday and Friday 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Wednesday and Thursday 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Located at 4425 Burnham Drive, Gig Harbor. For more information call 253-858-6179.

Key Peninsula Community Services The food bank is open 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, Thursday and Friday; open until 5 p.m. Wednesday. Closed for lunch. No food donations at this time; monetary donations are always welcome. The senior lunch program continues and lunches are available for pickup on a drive-through basis with one day advance notice by calling the KPCS office. Door-to-door delivery is being provided by the Mustard Seed Project for seniors unable to pick up drive-through lunches. KPCS is streaming tai chi and exercise classes with their regular instructors on YouTube, and will provide recorded DVDs if necessary. Nourish Mobile Food Bank Two sites and times on the KP: Fridays 1 to 3 p.m. in the parking lot of the Lake Kathryn Village mall near Purdy Cost Less Pharmacy, 14218 92nd Avenue NW near intersection of 94th Avenue NW and SR-302 Fridays 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the parking lot of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 12521 134 Avenue NW, near intersection of KP Highway and Elgin-Clifton Road NW (SR-302). 

Key Peninsula Bischoff Food Bank New location as of Dec. 19: 12402 134th Street at the corner of KP Highway NW. Open 2 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Thursday and Friday;  2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday. Visit www.kpbischofffoodbank.org or Facebook. 425-444-2374.

The Mustard Seed Project No drop-in hours, in-person events or activities. Individual rides will still be provided, but bus rides are cancelled. The Mustard Seed Project can deliver lunches prepared by Key Peninsula Community Services to seniors unable to pick up drive-through lunches and will deliver groceries and supplies to shut-in seniors. Peninsula School District Schools on the Key Peninsula are providing free meals to anyone 18 and under, and includes both breakfast and lunch. Meals are available at the following sites for pickup Monday through Friday between 11:30 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. — Evergreen Elementary School — Minter Elementary  — Purdy Elementary — and 12 to 1 p.m. at Vaughn Elementary. Parents may pick up lunches for their children. Pre-ordering is not necessary, but meal orders can be submitted online. Meals can also be delivered to students along bus routes in elementary school service areas. Bus routes for each service area and bus stop times 

Food Backpacks 4 Kids FB4K provides food to anyone with a school-aged child in the Peninsula School District through its weekly drive by pick up program. Children’s Home Society of Washington-Key Peninsula Family Resource Center Office is closed to the public but open for casework. We provide child and youth programs, including mentoring groups for elementary, middle school and high school students, basic needs (diapers, school supplies, clothing), and information about community resources, and referral services (financial aid, health care, employment). We are still scheduling appointments for services by email at pierce@chs-wa.org and phone at 253-884-5433. We are continuing our group programs, virtually. Key Center Library Curbside service available: get books, movies, computer printouts, and more. Visit during business hours without an appointment, or schedule your order by phone or online so your items are ready in advance. Call 253-548-3309 

Two Waters Arts Alliance offers educational art projects that students and parents can do at home. While we will miss seeing all our students, we hope everyone stays safe and healthy during these crazy times.

Key Pen Parks Free Wi-Fi at Volunteer Park for public use from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Best access is from the parking lot closest to the buildings. No password needed. Status of office, parks, playgrounds and trails.
