From Mala-Mala to Moab is an exhibit highlighting work from a long awaited photo safari to Botswana and South Africa by wildlife and nature photographer Gretchen Shepherd.
Early morning and late night sunrise and sunset light became the playground for the amazing wildlife of the areas and the backdrop for Gretchen capturing dynamic color and infrared images. Meanwhile Bob Shepherd, her husband, after years of carrying Gretchen's gear began to develop his own interest in photography. He began to hone his skills during a workshop in Olympic National Park and a trip to Moab and discovered a new creative outlet. This will is a first time exhibit for Bob, and the first time this couple has shown their work together.
An artist reception will be held, at the Mustard Seed in Key Center, on Tuesday, June 13th from 4:30 to 6:30 with additional images from Gretchen' African adventure. A portion of the proceeds from this exhibit will benefit the Vaughn Library Hall restoration project.
