GIG HARBOR ROTARY CLUBS STAR AWARDS EVENT

14TH Annual Rotary Star Awards Honors Four Gig Harbor Citizens

Posted by mattisonange@gmail.com

Chosen by the Rotary Club of Gig Harbor is Rick Bennett—for his years of service in volunteering for the Washington Trails Association, a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing hiking trails throughout the state of Washington. Rick’s designated charity of choice is the Washington Trails Association.

Midday Rotary Club selected Wallace and Cammie Watts, fondly known as Captain Seahawk and KamHawk, for their remarkable efforts in addressing the pressing issues of food insecurity and homelessness in our community. Their designated charity of choice is the United Indians of All Tribes Labateyah Youth Home.

The Gig Harbor North Rotary Club’s STAR is Timothy (Tim) Kezele, a distinguished leader known for his unwavering dedication and hands-on approach in serving the community of the Key Peninsula through the Historical Society, Key Peninsula Parks, the Civic Center, the Mustard Seed Project, and more. Tim’s designated charity of choice is the Key Peninsula Civic Center Association.

These are members of our communities who have made positive and major impacts on the lives of others because of their selfless dedication to “Service Above Self” and a desire to create better opportunities for all to thrive. It is the pleasure of Gig Harbor Rotary Clubs to celebrate their efforts, passions, and contributions.
