Get to know the unique animals that inhabit the intertidal zone with biologists and volunteer naturalists! Our low tide beach walks are FREE* and suitable for all ages. Each beach walk will last approximately 60-90 minutes and includes a lesson on beach etiquette. No two beach walks are the same; we never know what amazing animals we will find!
Getting to the Beach: Park in the lot, making sure not to block other cars or private property. Meet on the lawn near the parking area at the top of the hill at the scheduled time. Look for Harbor WildWatch staff and volunteers wearing blue. If you arrive late, find us on the beach! Terrain: A steeply sloping grass hill leads down to the short trail to the beach. This is a sloped beach with primarily gravel, cobble, sand, and occasional boulders.
