Chair yoga is beneficial for everyone, especially for those who have injuries or mobility issues, who are aging, or who have larger bodies. People come to chair yoga for many reasons, including osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, issues with balance and stability, paralysis, and other health issues, such as Multiple Sclerosis or Parkinson's Disease. Using the support of a chair can make it possible for most everyone to practice yoga. Chair yoga is gentle, yet can also be strengthening, opening, and profound.
We will focus on age-appropriate movements, and take into consideration those who may have joint-replacements, high blood pressure, hearing loss, and sight loss while practicing chair yoga.
