Nancy Rodman of Vaughn passed away peacefully in her home March 15.

She was born Dec. 4, 1931, in Tacoma to Frederick Howard Rodman and Leah Ducharme Rodman. After graduating from Stadium High School, Nancy pursued her passion for acting, moving to California to study at the Pasadena Playhouse, where she performed in various productions, as well as at Theater in the Round.

Life took a serendipitous turn, leading Nancy to Mexico City, where she would spend the rest of her life. There, she showcased her talents by singing on the radio, acting in commercials, and later appearing in films such as “Daniel Boone” and “Geronimo.” Discovering a knack for organization, Nancy transitioned into a successful talent agent, a career she enjoyed for over 40 years. During this time, she also collaborated with the Azcarraga family on a special project at Televisa, Latin America’s largest mass media company.

Nancy’s love for architecture and building led her to construct a stunning home on Los Flores in Mexico City, which became regionally renowned. She considered raising her adopted son, Pablo, her greatest achievement. A lover of nature, Nancy always had an animal companion and was a skilled gardener. She also enjoyed traveling, the arts, snow and water skiing, tennis, and boating. Her favorite place on Earth was her property on Vaughn Bay, where she spent every summer.

Nancy was luminescent and always in a league of her own. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends for her unique personality, vibrant spirit, and unparalleled storytelling.

Nancy is survived by her son, Pablo Navarro of Mexico City, Mexico; nephews Neal Rodman of Woodland, Washington; Dave Rodman of Silverton, Oregon; and Kevin Rodman of Port Angeles, Washington.
