The documentary “Purdy” takes a look at the Residential Parenting Program at the Washington Corrections Center for Women. The program allows inmates who are serving less than three years to keep their babies with them at the prison.
Daniel Kopec is an Emmy-award winning writer, director and producer who wrote and produced the documentary. He is the Program Production Manager for KBTC, a public television station.
The documentary first aired in December, and will be shown five times this month. The show can be viewed on Comcast channel 12, Wave Broadcast channel 12 or DIRECTV channel 28 and Click! Network channel 3. The schedule is Jan. 2, 6 p.m. Jan. 10, 1 p.m. Jan. 14, 10 p.m., Jan. 18, 10 p.m., Jan. 28, 9 p.m.
