Jay Edward Wood

With heavy hearts and profound love, we celebrate the life of Jay Edward Wood — Ed, Eddie, Uncle, Bro, Dad, Papa — who passed away May 22 in Lakebay at the age of 81.

Born Jan. 16, 1945, to parents Julius and Jennie Wood in Olympia, Ed brought warmth, wisdom, and unwavering support to everyone he met. He built a full life, growing up near the Nisqually River and dedicating two years to the U.S. Army, traveling the world from 1963 through 1965.

He is survived by a sister, his loving wife, two children, seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Ed leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love and will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
