Born in Helena, Montana, Sept. 20, 1947, Michael H. Marino died at home in Lakebay Dec. 10, 2024.
He was the youngest of seven siblings. His mother raised them all on her own after her husband tragically died of a heart attack.
Diabetes and dementia took him to heaven during his sleep after a few bumps in the road. Heaven is blessed as his generosity, humor, love and knowledge were his greatest attributes.
To know Mikey was to love him and all his stories. He was well-known and loved by friends, family and neighbors. He was an animal whisperer and friend to every critter that crossed his path. Animals loved him, as did his widow Cathy, who called him a poster boy for good husbands. She celebrated the best 20 years of her life being his wife and diva.
He will be carrying pies, cakes, cookies and ice cream over his rainbow bridge. Look for him.
Mike is survived by his wife, Cathy TuTu Marino, and brothers Ted Marino of Lacey and Frank Gary Marino of Anchorage, Alaska.
“God bless you, my husband and friend,” Cathy said. “Trust me, I’ll be checking in on you in the future.”
